About Freedom Community Credit Union
In 1954, less than a year into the infant credit union’s existence, its first location was literally a small cash box kept in the Squadron Secretary’s file cabinet. Members making deposits and withdrawals often had to phone first to make sure someone would be there to make transactions. From these humble beginnings, the North Dakota Air National Guard Credit Union has accelerated through 50 years of growth to become one of North Dakota’s largest, most successful North Dakota Credit Unions.
With over 50 years of customer-first financial experience, our members have decided it is time to reach out to the those in our community, extending a welcome to those who have watched and supported our hometown soldiers, sailors, and airmen. In doing so, we’ve changed our name to reflect our hometown spirit and our cherished right to select our road to our destiny.
Field of Membership
Membership in this Credit Union is limited to individuals living within a 75 mile radius of Fargo, ND and members or their immediate families.

We are a member-owned and controlled financial organization promoting financial responsibility, membership involvement and dedicated to serving and educating our members, while maintaining the credit union's long-term financial stability.
